Sullivan Appointed Public Services Director

Jason SullivanBonney Lake Mayor Terry Carter has appointed Jason Sullivan to serve as the City’s next Public Services Director. City Council unanimously confirmed the appointment at its December 10 meeting. The Public Services Department consists of public works, engineering, planning and building, code enforcement, and permit center.

With nearly 20 years of experience in local government, Sullivan served as the City of Bonney Lake’s Planning and Building Supervisor prior to being appointed to Interim Public Services Director in January 2024.

Sullivan joined the City of Bonney Lake in 2012 as a Senior Planner and most recently held the position of Planning and Building Supervisor. Prior to Bonney Lake, Sullivan worked for the City of Des Moines for approximately seven years and held the positions of Associate Planner and Senior Planner.

Sullivan served in the Army from 1996 through 2001 and then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in urban studies, a minor in environmental science, and a Certificate in Geographic Information System and Spatial Modeling from the University of Washington. He serves on a number of regional and state committees, including co-chair of the Puget Sound Regional Council’s Regional Staff Committee and Washington State Shoreline Hearings Board.
