Emergency Management
The City’s Emergency Management Division is responsible for ensuring a state of readiness for all potential hazards (natural, environmental, and human-caused). The mission of Emergency Management is to protect lives, property, and the environment through preparedness and mitigation activities, developing and refining emergency management plans, conducting exercises, and organizing and executing response and recovery efforts in the event of a significant incident through the activation of our Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
The welfare and safety of all who live, work, or play in Bonney Lake is of utmost importance to the Emergency Management Division. Therefore, Bonney Lake Emergency Management administers an all-hazards community-based emergency management program and promotes a disaster resistant and resilient community through partnerships with all levels of government, businesses, non-governmental organizations and the residents and visitors of Bonney Lake.
Disasters or emergencies can strike quickly and without warning. You may have to evacuate your neighborhood or confine yourself to your home. Individuals and families can, and do, cope with these events by preparing in advance and working together as a team. Preparing can feel overwhelming and it can be hard to know where to begin. We have built this site to empower everyone who lives, works, or plays in Bonney Lake to take measurable steps towards becoming more prepared, growing their knowledge of hazards and risks they may face, and building more resilient communities to make it through and recover even better from disasters and emergencies
