The City of Bonney Lake introduced seasonal paid parking at Allan Yorke Park on July 10, 2024.
Why did the city introduce paid parking?
Allan Yorke Park is the city’s largest, most visited park. With many of those visiting the park coming from outside of Bonney Lake, the city is adding paid parking to assist with crowd control and ensure all users contribute to the maintenance and capital costs of the park and its services. The revenue generated from the paid parking is invested back into Bonney Lake parks through the Parks Capital Improvement Program.
What are the dates and times of seasonal paid parking?
Seasonal paid parking is in effect May 1 through October 1 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
How much is paid parking?
$4 for four hours or $10 per day, plus fees and taxes.
Do I have to pay for parking during city-sponsored events? No, parking during city-sponsored events is free starting 30 minutes prior to the event start time. These events include: Kids Club, Tunes at Tapps, National Night Out, Bonney Lake Days, and Labor of Love Triathlon.
How do I pay for parking?
ParkMobile is the City of Bonney Lake’s mobile parking app provider. ParkMobile offers multiple ways to pay for parking, making it easier than ever to go contactless. To pay for parking, locate a sign in the correct zone for the area you are parked and select a method of payment.
ParkMobile Ways to Pay
- Pay by App: The full-featured app for iOS and Android provides the most complete parking experience. Download the app on your phone and register;
- Pay by Web: The mobile web experience lets you quickly pay for parking without downloading the full app. You can scan the QR code on the sign or go to ParkMobile’s website at parkmobile.io; or
- Pay by Text: Text “PARK” to 77223 to quickly start a parking session.
ParkMobile Features
- Extend your parking session remotely if you have not reached the maximum time limit;
- Receive text message reminders before your parking session expires; and
- Receive email receipts.
Important Information
- Enter the full license plate as it reads on your vehicle registration without any spaces. Entering an incorrect or partial plate will result in a ticket.
- Paid parking is zone specific. Check the signage to determine your zone.
- No refunds or in/out privileges.
- There is no ability to reserve a parking spot in advance.
- How does enforcement work? If using the ParkMobile app, there is no need to display a receipt; however, you must enter your license plate number correctly to avoid a citation.
- A parking violation is subject to a $250 fine.
Where does parking revenue go?
Parking revenue goes back into the parks as it can only pay for park capital improvement projects.
Do residents have to pay for parking?
Yes, all drivers who park need to pay for parking.
Can I pay in advance?
No, there is no ability to pay in advance. No refunds are available, so please be sure to find a parking spot BEFORE paying.
