City of Bonney Lake

Ballfields, picnic areas and meeting rooms at several City parks and buildings are available for reservation on a first come, first served basis.

Allan Yorke Park is a 45 acre parcel located at the intersection of Bonney Lake Boulevard and West Tapps Highway at the South end of Lake Tapps. Allan Yorke Park is the site of many Special Events including Tunes @ Tapps concerts and Bonney Lake Days, a summer celebration including children's activities, stage shows and fun for the entire family. Some amenities can be rented.

Parks facilities and available uses:

Location: West entrance of the City of Bonney Lake on SR 410.

Ascent Park is a small parcel to the South of Hwy 410, which is home to the Bonney Lake Welcome Sign. In 2007 the lighting and landscaping were improved. There is no public access to this parcel.

The sculpture that welcomes residents and visitors was created by Larry Anderson, a nationally renowned sculpture who resides in Bonney Lake. It is a sculpture of a boy reaching up to a flock of ducks. The sculpture called ‘The Ascent," is an attempt to make people aware of the area's natural beauty as they make their way from the Sumner Valley up to Mt. Rainier. Cedarview Park is located between 206^th and 208^th Ave E, where they intersect at 93^rd St. E. Amenities include a barbeque, covered picnic area (available for rentals), playground, fields, seasonal restrooms, tricycle path, full basketball court, drinking fountains and decorative art.

Ken Simmons Park is located on the northwestern edge of Lake Bonney, next to the non-motorized boat launch. Available uses at this park include fishing, picnicking and playground facilities.

Madrona Park is a 'pocket park' at the intersection of 80^th St and 182^nd Ave. Amenities include a half-court basketball court, play toys, a small picnic area with water fountain and a view of Mt. Rainier. The Park
received its name because 182^nd Ave was historically known as Madrona Avenue due to the large number of Madrona trees in the area.

Midtown Park is the temporary name given to City property south of SR 410 and North of S. Prairie Rd. The City acquired 40 acres of wooded land in the area previously known as the WSU Forest in 2010. The forest includes trails and undeveloped natural areas.

Victor Falls Park is located south of Rhodes Lake Road and offers a view of 70-foot high Victor Falls. The property was purchased by the City in 2013; previously, the private property provided no public access to the falls.

Park amenities include soft-surface paths, falls viewpoint, picnic tables and benches, barbeques parking area and portable restroom. Future improvements are planned, including signs and additional picnic tables.

Viking Park is adjacent to Bonney Lake Elementary School. The park was officially named by the City Council in honor of the Bonney Lake Elementary mascot.

Viking Park Off-Leash Dog Park: On April 8, 2010, Mayor Johnson announced that Viking Park would be developed as an off-leash dog park. A grand opening ceremony was held on September 25, 2010 opening the off-leash dog park to the public with picnic tables, a bench and water for dogs. Remember, please pickup after your dog. Poop bags are provided.
