We're excited to announce the completion of the new multi-sport turf field at Allan Yorke Park. The community is invited to come out and celebrate Field #5 during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, June 26 at 5:00 p.m.
About the project:
The Allan Yorke Park project converted nearly 4.8 acres of the City’s planned park land into a new multi-functional park facility for public use. The new facility cleaned up the site of old buildings and debris and added a new multi-function field with artificial turf that supports the use of baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and rugby. The field is supported with a score board, new technology field lighting to reduce light pollution, a restroom facility, parking area with 107 parking spaces, and a walking path that extends around the field. The new park was built with the plan to minimize environmental impact and includes 1.59 acres of landscaped area.
