The Human Resources Office works strategically with City departments and employees to attract, hire, develop, and retain a qualified, diverse workforce dedicated to working together to deliver high quality services to the community.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Office is responsible for:
- Recruitment and selection
- Classification and compensation
- Employee development/performance management
- Employee and Labor Relations
- Employee wellness and benefits program
- Compliance with employment law, policy review and implementation
- Administration of workplace safety and workers' compensation
- Salary Commission and Civil Service.
